Explore the ancient art of Monochromancy the magical mastery of one hue. In this enchanted painting contest, artists shall bind themselves to a single color and conjure emotion, depth, and storytelling from its shades and shadows.
Rules and Regulations:
- Each participant will choose a single colour. That colour shall be their magical medium. Variations (tints, shades, opacity) within that colour are encouraged.
- You will then have 90 minutes to summon a painting that showcases your artistic skills and attention to detail.
- The artwork must remain strictly monochromatic. Any intrusion of foreign hues will be considered a breach of magical discipline and result in disqualification.Only paint and canvas are allowed. No mixed media or digital art.
- All artwork must be original and created on-site during the event. No references are allowed.
- Participants must bring their own painting materials (paints, brushes, palettes etc.).
- Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
